Although our time was limited, we've had the opportunity to explore Amsterdam on two different trips. The first was before a river cruise in 2014 and our most recent visit was during an airplane layover in 2018.
One thing that we love about Amsterdam is that the city is so easy to navigate on your own. It's perfect for those who try to hit a daily step or walking goal. During both visits, we enjoyed strolling along the canals - one of the reasons it is often referred to as the Venice of Northern Europe!
