We made it to Big Pine Key, the furthest south place that we'll park our RV for a while on this trip. We'll be staying at Royal Palm RV Park for a week. Our plan is to take some day trips to explore some of the more southern Keys in Florida's chain of islands.
We've named this fawn Bambi (so creative, I know) that keeps stopping by our campsite. We have been amazed at how close it comes to us - especially when we are eating at our picnic table. I'm sure that people have been feeding this deer and, even at a young age, it already associates people with food. I sure hope it doesn't forget how to get food on its own since many who stay in this area during the winter leave during the warm summer months.
