Russia | St. Petersburg | Pushkin | Cruises | Catherine Palace | UNESCO | Palace Tours | spb Tours
Located a short distance southeast of St. Petersburg in Pushkin stands the UNESCO site of
Catherine's Palace. It was just one of many sites that we had the opportunity to explore during
our awesome two days of touring with spb Tours. Construction started in the early 1700s as a
summer palace for Catherine I. After being remodeled, it was looted during WWI and not rebuilt
until 2003. The famous Amber Room is located inside the summer residence.
