A great addition to any stay in Amman, Jordan is a day pass at a resort located on waters of the Dead Sea. The "salt lake" sits between Jordan and Israel, and is considered the lowest point on earth. It is believed that the high concentration of minerals in the salty water has benefits for skin, helps people relax and can even aid in the recovery following muscle injuries.

We wrapped up our short time in Jordan at the Dead Sea! We had a VERY short visit to the Dead Sea a few years ago, so we were happy to have more time to enjoy a day pass at a resort. In addition to floating in the salty water, we had a Dead Sea mud bath and wrapped up our visit with a buffet lunch.
If you're twenty-two, physically fit, hungry to learn and be better, I urge you to travel - as far and as widely as possible. Sleep on floors if you have to. Find out how other people live and eat and cook. Learn from them - wherever you go. - Anthony Bourdain
