Drake's Seat: An Easy Search for Magens Bay

Although not the island's highest peak, the view from Drake's Seat is usually considered a must see for anyone visiting St. Thomas. It's the perfect place to get a bird's eye view of Magens Bay and Magens Bay Beach. Named after Sir Francis Drake, it is believed that Drake's Seat is the actual place where the explorer stood on lookout for enemy vessels. He may have even ordered an attack or two from this very spot!

What experience do you have with driving on the opposite side of the road than you are accustomed to?

One of the few places that Scott has driven on the left side of the road while we explored was on the island of St. Thomas. There are lots of ship and taxi tours that take cruisers to popular scenic overlooks and beaches on the island. Depending on the size of your travel group, you may be able to save money by renting a car and planning your own beach day - if you are willing to drive on the left!
