Kentucky | Louisville | Bourbon Trail | Whisky Row | Old Forester Distilling Company | Distillery Tours | Bourbon Barrels
The Old Forester Distilling Company is advertised as being the creator of America's first bottled bourbon in 1870. The distillery is now located on Louisville's Whiskey Row (aka Main Street). Old Forester is one of 18 distilleries on the Kentucky Bourbon Trail tour. It's interesting to see the entire bourbon making process including building and charring the barrels!

Have you toured the Kentucky Bourbon Trail?
We had fun touring (and sampling) at just a few of the bourbon making distilleries during our spring 2019 RV journey. It's amazing to see how the look and feel of each distillery can be so different. After touring several facilities along the trail, we headed to Louisville to wrap up our visit along the trail. Old Forester is known for building and charring their barrels in their downtown Louisville location!
