Prior to 1973, visitors to Hershey, Pennsylvania could take a tour of the factory where Hershey's
chocolate was made. Over time, they became so popular (almost one million visitors annually) that the
tours were negatively impacting production in the factory. Hershey's Chocolate World opened as a way to
tell the Hershey story without overcrowding the factory. Admission to the "Hershey's Chocolate Tour" is
free, however there are plenty of souvenirs and other attractions where you can spend your dollars!

Have you ever visited a place without children that is obviously geared toward kids?
Scott and I pretended like we were kids again during our afternoon in the city of Hershey, Pennsylvania.
Surprisingly, we were not the only adults who were there without kids or grandkids! In addition to riding
the free chocolate tour, we bought a bundle package. The bundle allowed us to each create our own
candy bar, ride the trolley tour and watch the 4D chocolate mystery tour.
