A drive through Kings Canyon National Park brings you past numerous lookouts over the Kings River. If you've got an hour to spare, consider a tour to see the stalactites, stalagmites and more inside Boyden Cavern. The uphill hike is breathtaking - in more ways than one. The river views are amazing, but you'll likely need a break to catch your breath! Once at the top, a guide will take you back about 750 feet to see inside the cavern. While the rest of the tour is fairly level, you do need to pay attention as you navigate on slippery surfaces and through narrow openings.

We had originally planned to visit Kings Canyon National Park in 2023, but a couple of circumstances caused us to delay our trip. In addition to some car repairs that took much longer than expected, many of the roads inside the park were closed due to road damage. Fortunately, the roads reopened in May 2024, just over a month before our rescheduled visit this year.
I got into an argument with a girlfriend inside of a tent. That's a bad place for an argument, because then I tried to walk out and slammed the flap. How are you supposed to express your anger in this situation? Zipper it up really quick? - Mitch Hedberg
