Knock Knock, Who's There?, An Alligator is There!

It is said that American alligators are commonly found in the southeastern states of the United States including Florida, Georgia and Louisiana. In Florida, alligators are often found in freshwater rivers, lakes and swamps. Year after year, this alligator referred to as "Boots" or "George" by the locals returns to the lake at Laketown Wharf Resort.

What is the state reptile (or animal) of your state?

Not surprisingly, the state reptile of Florida is the alligator. We'd heard that there is a gator that frequents the lake at Laketown Wharf Resort, however we weren't sure if we believed it. We'd been here for so long, and there was no evidence of an alligator - until today! Now we are believers as we finally saw the alligator that has been called "Boots" or "George" by the locals.

What state reptiles or animals have you seen?
