A Colorful Ride on the Mersey Ferry across the River

Leaving from Liverpool on the east, the Mersey Ferry takes passengers across the River Mersey to the western cities of Birkenhead and Wallasey. The ride is enjoyable and provides passengers with a wonderful view of the birthplace of the Beatles.

What places have you wanted to visit because of songs you've heard?

After visiting the two Beatles museums along with some other sites in Liverpool, I couldn't miss the "ferry 'cross the Mersey"! We didn't need to get across the river, but the song made me want to take a ride on the Mersey Ferry from London. Luckily, we discovered the U-Boat Museum in Birkenhead, so our trip was definitely worthwhile.

What songs have inspired you to visit a place during your travels?
