Do you prefer to be the driver or a passenger on road trips?
My preference is to be a passenger, but I am willing to drive in all cases except one. I will NOT drive when
we are pulling our RV. I know my limits and I know that I don't have the experience needed to safely
drive on the highway or navigate turns while pulling the beast. (I did pull the RV once around several
blocks in our neighborhood and that was enough for me!)
I'm so appreciative that Scott enjoys driving - even while pulling our rig. But, there's even places that he
would rather not take the RV. We read a lot about traveling the Blue Ridge Parkway with an RV, and
decided to limit where we pulled our trailer. While the road is good and the speed limit is only 45 mph,
there are lots of curves and tunnels, narrow sections of roadway, some low hanging trees, limited cell
phone coverage and no passing is permitted for much of the distance.
