Schonbrunn Zoo is Home to Many Exotic Animals


    

Having the Vienna Pass is really helpful when visiting the city's famous Schonbrunn Palace. In addition to the palace, there's a zoo, carriage museum and a number of gardens. The zoo at the palace is actually the oldest zoo in the world! Many people plan their visit to the zoo around the feeding schedule for the various resident animals.

When you travel, do you ever visit zoos?

It's not really something that we do frequently. When we toured Vienna in 2018, one of our must sees was Schonbrunn Palace. Little did we know that there was a zoo on the palace grounds. The zoo has a variety of exotic and traditional zoo animals - African elephants, wild cats, giraffes, and more.

Fun fact: The zoo at Schonbrunn Palace is the oldest zoo in the world!
