Lighthouse at the West Point of Puerto Rico

While driving the perimeter of Puerto Rico, one of our stops was at the Punta Higuero Lighthouse (also known as the Faro Punta Higüeras. The lighthouse is situated in a beautiful park that has a great overlook of a beach filled with surfers.

What are your favorite sites on the island of Puerto Rico?

On our most recent visit, in addition to spending time in Old San Juan, we spent three days driving around the perimeter of the island. While we love Old San Juan, we enjoyed finally having a chance to see more of the island. We even slept on a boat and in a beach house during our island tour! One of our stops was at this park where the Punta Higuero Lighthouse stands. As you can probably imagine, the view was beautiful!

If you could only choose one, what is your favorite place to stop in Puerto Rico?
