A 45-minute cruise along the Melaka River is a relaxing way to get a taste of the history and culture for which the city is known. Whether you are sailing under a bridge, peering at the unique architecture or passing by another river boat, the time will pass by too quickly. You'll want your camera to capture shots of some of Melaka's famous landmarks that many only see while exploring on foot - churches, a mosque, street art and the famous Jonker Street.

One of our favorite things that we did during our free time in Malacca was to take a river cruise along the Malacca River. The ride in the river boat took less than an hour, but gave us views that we didn't see while strolling the city's streets - especially the bridges! If we return, we'd love to have the chance to take a night-time cruise to see the city all lit up.
