A Horse Drawn Carriage Ride Through Lost Canyon

Horse-drawn carriages have been operating in the Wisconsin Dells' Lost Canyon since 1956. At approximately one-mile in length, the canyon is said to be the longest and deepest within the entire state. The scenery along the journey is beautiful, but keep your eyes on the horses as they navigate through the narrowest of the passageways for an amazing sight!

Have you taken a horse-drawn carriage ride?

Through our years of traveling together, we've taken several, but the tour through the Lost Canyon in the Wisconsin Dells is definitely the most unique. Rather than riding along city streets, the tour took us through a gorge with canyon walls so close together that the horses needed some encouragement to pass through.

Fun fact: It is said that there are some places within the gorge that have not seen sunlight in 50,000 years!
