You Can Count on Cajun Culture in Lafayette

The Acadian Cultural Center in Lafayette is one of six sites located in southern Louisiana that make up the Jean Lafitte National Historical Park and Preserve. The museum like center is filled with exhibits about the Acadians who are now popularly referred to as "Cajun's". No visit is compete without watching the film shown every hour, "The Cajun Way: Echoes of Acadia".

Are you a museum person?

Museums are actually not high our list of places that we search for. However, there are many that we have loved through our years of traveling.

Before leaving the Lafayette area, we made a stop at the one national park site in the area. Although we only spent about 1 1/2 hours at the Acadian Cultural Center, we are happy that we made the stop to learn a little more about the Cajuns of Louisiana!

What's your favorite museum (or museum like place)?
