Wildlife Roam the Black Hills of South Dakota

During our 6 night stay at Custer's Gulch RV Park, we spotted plenty of deer - almost every night from our first to our last. Some of the deer sat or stood without moving for so long that we thought that they were statues. Although deer are probably the most common wildlife that we see when traveling, at least they seem to pose for photos!

Social Media Description

Do you enjoy spotting wildlife?

No matter where we are headed, I always hope to see wildlife - especially when we are on an RV journey. The Black Hills are famous for their bison, bighorn sheep, prairie dogs and, of course, deer. Why is it that the deer are always the first that we spot? And, more importantly, why are deer the animals that always seem to pose for photos while other animals are so photo shy?

What animal species have you had the most success finding in the wild?
