Wandering Through the New Orleans Sculpture Garden

The New Orleans City Park has been a fixture in the city since 1854. It's a great place to get some exercise, people watch and more. The park is the home of the biggest collection of mature oak trees all in one location. Yes, that's right - no place in the world is there a larger collection of full-grown oak trees! Along with many other outdoor activities, walking through the open-air Besthoff Sculpture Garden is a must do!

Do you remember where you were one year ago today?

For the first time ever, we attended Mardi Gras in New Orleans last year. We were in the city for a full week and got to see countless parades, people watch, eat great food, etc. On our final day in the city (February 26), we relaxed for most of the day. Before our last meal in New Orleans, we explored the sculpture garden in the New Orleans City Park. It was actually quite impressive with the many fun statues. We've always been fans of the blue dog, so this made our favorites list!
