Thank You to All Veterans for Your Selfless Sacrifices


    

Many (Texans, at least) have heard of Caprock Canyons State Park. Most however could not tell you the name of the city where you enter the park that is known for its bison herd. That city is Quitaque (pronounced kitty-quay), a rural community with a population of less than 500. Quitaque does have a small downtown area with a couple of restaurants and other necessities plus quite a number of vacant buildings. As you stroll the city streets, several of the building walls adorned with murals will surely catch your eye!

Today is Veterans Day, a day that Americans honor all of those who have selflessly served our country in the United States Armed Forces. Those of us who have not served will never truly understand the sacrifices that veterans make. We do, however, have so many freedoms that we would not enjoy if it weren't for the service of so many.

Thank you to all who are currently serving and have previously served our country - we realize that our life would be quite different had it not been for your service.
