The Hideaway Retreat is an RV campground in Navarre, Florida. The campground has both RV and tent sites - plus a retro RV available for rental! They have done a great job of mixing some of the comforts of resort camping (a variety of games, nice laundry machines and a clean bathhouse) with the more rustic appeal of camping among the trees.

When outdoors, do you prefer to enjoy nature or man made improvements?

We made our way to Navarre in Florida's panhandle. We planned this getaway just days before leaving home, so there were very few places with openings for larger RVs. We lucked out by finding a site at The Hideaway Retreat. Our RV is nestled among the trees, yet the campground still has some modern conveniences ... so we are glamping - not really camping!

We hope to return in a year or so - they are doing lots of work to upgrade the campground, the home available for rent, the fishing pier and more.
