Downtown Milwaukee is home to the Milwaukee Public Market. The market is filled with merchants offering fresh foods to take home. Better yet, why not pick out your favorite dish and eat it on site. There's tables on two floors and even outside! Warning: It will be hard to limit your purchases to just one of the many merchants in the market, but that's okay!

Have you had a day that didn't quite go as planned?

Between a power outage, rain storm and arriving after the doors were closed, we didn't get to see much of what we had hoped in Milwaukee. At least the Milwaukee Public Market was open and wanted our business!

After walking past all of the vendors in the market, we settled on St. Paul Fish Company (New England Clam Chowder and a po-boy). After lunch, we couldn't pass up sharing a huge cookie from C. Adam's Bakery for dessert!

Lesson learned: If your day doesn't go as planned, a great meal with family will help to put a smile on your face!
