Spain | Barcelona | Day Trip | Sitges | Old Town | Town Center | Sant Sebastia Cemetery | Architecture | Sculpture | Landscaping | Mausoleums | Funerary Art
Because the Sant Sebastia Cemetery is restricted from further outward expansion due to its location in Sitges', a new (and more modern) cemetery has been built. With beautiful landscaping, statues and other funerary art, the "historic" cemetery that can be found in the city's Old Town, is an amazing sight to see. It is said that in the 19th and early 20th centuries, families left the area, accumulated wealth and donated to the cemetery upon their return.
