As we traveled through Missouri, we spent a day in the city where Scott attended college - Rolla. After exploring the campus, we spent some time in downtown Rolla. One of our favorite sites was this awesome, patriotic and historic mural boasting this city's place on the historic Route 66!

We've driven along some segments of the former "highway", and each is quite different. Some are filled with older historic buildings and antiques and others have been upgraded and are more modern - but usually with a traditional feel. While in Rolla, Missouri, we spotted this mural marking a part of the historic route. Get your kicks on Route 66!
