California | Three Rivers | Sequoia National Forest | Sequoia National Park | Tunnel Rock | Hospital Rock | Hiking | What to See | Roadside
Shortly after entering Sequioa National Park from Three Rivers, California (Ash Mountain Entrance), you'll pass a huge granite Boulder known as Tunnel Rock. Today, you can pass under the rock on foot or carefully climb atop the rock. In years gone by, cars passed through the tunnel created by the rock on what was the original Generals Highway. Just a few miles further on the same side of the highway is a parking area for Hospital Rock. A short walk across the highway takes you to an area to view the famous pictographs.
