A hike along Warner Point Trail is the perfect complement to enjoying the views from the 12 overlooks on the South Rim Road inside Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park. At just over 1 1/2 miles in distance (round trip), the best view along the trail is from Warner Point (the turnaround) with a view of the canyon and river below. Read about the variety of trees lining the trail in the trail guide and keep your eyes open for views of the San Juan Mountain Range and West Elk Mountains.

After making stops at most of the overlooks in Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park, I had an urge to do a little hiking. We chose Warner Point Trail and were rewarded with some great views!
