Do you have a favorite place to stay in the Black Hills National Forest?
After departing southeast South Dakota, we were finally headed to the Black Hills National Forest!
It was there where we would spend the better part of our 2 weeks in the state. Our longest stay in
the Black Hills was at Custer's Gulch RV Park & Campground. Luckily, the RV park also ended up
being our favorite in South Dakota.
Named after General Custer (who also camped there), Custer's Gulch is just minutes away from
both downtown Custer and Custer State Park. Both Mount Rushmore and Crazy Horse are easy
drives, as are plenty of the area's other tourist attractions. If we ever have the chance to return to
this area, we would happily return to Custer's Gulch.
