Hot Springs | Arkansas | Gangster Museum | Spring Training | Baseball History | Hiking | Bathhouse Row
While visiting Hot Springs, Arkansas we toured the highly recommended Gangster Museum of
America. The museum houses many artifacts and historical information about the wild lifestyle
found in Hot Springs during the 1930s. Gangsters from the big cities including Chicago would
vacation in Hot Springs. The locals treated the area as a safe zone for nationally known criminals.
Many famous baseball greats also visited the springs in the off-season to relax and train.

Have you been to Hot Springs?
The city is known for, of course, the "hot springs" and "Bathhouse Row". During both of our visits
to Hot Springs, we enjoyed soaking in the world famous Quapaw Bathhouse which is built on top of
the actual hot springs. Based on recommendations, we also decided to tour the Gangster Museum
of America during our most recent visit. It was very interesting to learn more about the history of
visitors to the city - baseball greats and gangsters!
