California | Sequoia National Forest | Kings Canyon National Park | Kings River | Muir Rock | Roaring River Falls | Hiking | Waterfall
It is said that talks led by John Muir at what is now known as "Muir Rock" helped to create Kings Canyon National Park. Both the short hikes to Muir Rock and Roaring River Falls along the Kings River are great additions to any visit to this national park located within the Sequoia National Forest in California. While Roaring River Falls has a small dedicated parking area, it's at Roads End Parking where you'll find the path to Muir Rock.

Social Media Description
It's definitely a long drive from General Grants Grove (and even further from the Ash Mountain Entrance into Sequoia National Park). But, it just didn't feel right to only spend a couple of hours inside Kings Canyon National Park, so we drove the distance to Muir Rock and Roaring River Falls.
Nature has been for me, for as long as I remember, a source of solace, inspiration, adventure, and delight; a home, a teacher, a companion. - Lorraine Anderson
