The views of the nearby red rock mountains from Thousand Lakes RV Park give RVers a preview of what to expect during their visit to the nearby Capitol Reef National Park. Every site has a picnic table plus there are grills, fire rings and laundry machines available around the park. There's a playground for the kids, basketball and a seasonally open swimming pool. In addition to RV supplies, the park's office has coffee brewed each day plus homemade muffins for sale. There is a barbecue restaurant on site and the park's gift shop even offers handmade Navajo souvenirs.

We finally made it to the last of Utah's Mighty Five National Parks, Capitol Reef. We chose Thousand Lakes RV Park for our stay, and it was perfect - just a few miles from the national park plus a great location for day trips to Escalante National Monument and Goblin Valley State Park ... and great views from the RV park too!
