Royal Caribbean Cruise Line's loyalty program is known as the Crown and Anchor Society. There is no cost for joining the loyalty program, but there are plenty of possible upsides leaving no reason not to join. A small sampling of benefits includes free or discounted drinks, dining, internet, events, photos, laundry, spa services, shopping and even future cruises!

What's your favorite travel loyalty program, and why is it at the top of your list?

During my working years, I did a lot of traveling for my job. I learned very early on that there was no reason not to join travel loyalty programs. The same holds true when traveling for pleasure - there's no downside (other than maybe a few minutes of your time) to joining. You never know when you'll reap a benefit that you wouldn't have received had you not joined.

When we first sailed on Royal Caribbean, we would have never thought we would earn Diamond status in under six years. We have regularly taken advantage of discounts on balcony cabins, adult beverages and free photos.
