Where have you witnessed geothermal activity?

The northern island of New Zealand is full of geothermal activity. The first of our geothermal stops was at Craters of the Moon just outside of Taupo. We arrived about an hour before closing, so we were a little rushed for time. Fortunately the boardwalk was easy to walk and we had plenty of time to explore all but one upper lookout.
