Do you have a favorite state park?
Living in Texas, we have had the chance to explore quite a few Texas State Parks. As we travel around, we also like
to scout out the state parks around the rest of the country. We had heard about Devil's Lake - the most popular of
Wisconsin's State Parks. Since it was only 30 minutes from where we are staying, we hit the road to see what makes
it so popular.
Even with on and off rain, we loved our day there. There's a sandy beach, plenty of picnic areas, concessions, biking,
hiking (and climbing) for all levels, awesome viewpoints, fishing, boating and other water activities. There's even
winter activities - cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and ice fishing.
