Among other decor, the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque is home to seven chandeliers made of millions of Swarovski crystals as well as the world's largest carpet. The carpet, located in the main prayer room of the mosque, was hand knotted by over 1,000 Iranian weavers. Taking nearly two years from design to completion, the carpet measures over 60,000 acres. Three of the chandeliers are hanging in the same room. Weighing in at about 12 tons, the largest chandelier measures nearly 50 feet tall and over 30 feet from side to side.
