Most traveler's visit the Giza Pyramids before making their way over to see the Sphinx. In doing so, many take photos from the right side of the giant statue (near the road). Some don't even realize that there is an ancient temple complex on the opposite side. (The same ticket allows entrance to the Pyramids and the Sphinx.) After passing some shopping opportunities and walking through the ancient columns, you'll approach the Sphinx from the left side and can snap photos from a different angle!

Another reason that taking a second tour of the Giza pyramids was such a good decision was seeing the Sphinx from the opposite side. We didn't even know that there was an ancient temple complex on the grounds until our second visit!
