Tanzania | Mara | Serengeti National Park | Safari | Game Drive | Elephant | Mud Bath | Maasai Wanderings
Believe it or not, taking a mud bath is fun but is also important ... especially if you are an elephant! The hot temperatures in the Serengeti can be harsh to an elephant's skin. Laying down and rolling in the mud or using their trunk to splash mud on their body helps to cool off these huge animals. The extra layer of mud can also help to prevent insect bites!
