Originally released in 1982 by the Kenyan band "Them Mushrooms", the catchy lyrics and tune of "Jambo Bwana" have also become popular in Tanzania. From the coastal communities of Zanzibar to the inland savanna of the Serengeti, you'll hear locals in the tourism industry singing (and dancing and clapping) in a fun performance for visitors.

Social Media Description
We were serenaded with the song "Jambo Bwana" several times during our nearly 2 weeks in Tanzania, but this was our favorite performance. The crew at Kirurumu Under Canvas, along with our safari guide Baraka Ng'wavi (Maasai Wanderings) sang to us on our final morning at the tented camp just before our departure.
Once you have travelled, the voyage never ends, but is played out over and over again in the quietest chambers. The mind can never break off from the journey. - Pat Conroy
