Ka'ak Al-Quds (or Ka'ak for short) is a type of bread seen all around the city of Jerusalem. Known to many visitors as "Jerusalem bread", it is sold on both push-carts and at retail shops / kiosks. The bread comes in large oval shaped rings covered with sesame seeds and is served with a small pack of herbs mixed with salt.

Where have you recently sampled a new local dish?
During our day of exploring the walled city of Jerusalem, our guide pointed out the many places offering "Jerusalem bread". He wanted our group of 8 to have a chance to sample the bread, so he purchased some "Ka'ak Al-Quds" (called "Ka'ak" for short by the locals).
