Even though we live in Texas, one of our favorite music styles is classic rock. One of the reasons that Cleveland was on our list was for us to get a chance to visit the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. We were surprised at how large the Hall of Fame is (7 floors in a big building) as well as how many other music genres are included in the museum.
In an effort to document the history of rock and roll, in addition to exhibits on Hall of Fame inductees, we found displays on other well known rock musicians, one hit wonders and cities around the world which have influenced rock. There's even a part of the museum dedicated to protests against rock and roll. Those seeking a more interactive experience can learn to play an instrument, create a record label and more!
