Take a Walk Back Through Time at the Saadian Tombs
Dating back to the 1500s, the Saadian Tombs in Marrakech, Morocco were built by Sultan Ahmad al-Mansur. Located in the Kasbah Mosque, the tombs were basically forgotten about for 200 years after they were closed off in the early 1700s. After their rediscovery in 1917, the tombs quickly became one of Marrakech's most visited sites. You're sure to be enamored by the carvings, tiles and architecture that represent the country's history and culture.

Can't remember how we first learned of the Saadian Tombs, but glad we decided to pay the entrance fee to visit. The grounds and architecture are an amazing place that was described as a "Mausoleum of Saadian Sultan Ahmed al Mansour ed-Dahbi and 200 of his closest people"!
