Key West's Famous Buoy Marking the Southernmost Point

From dawn 'til dusk (and even beyond), tourists line up for pictures at the concrete buoy marking the southernmost point in the continental USA. The buoy, painted in red, black, gold and white, can be found at the intersection of South and Whitehead Streets in Key West, Florida. The marker indicates that Cuba is 90 miles away, but nearly every place you visit on the island boasts the same 90 mile distance!

What is your favorite "selfie spot"?

We've traveled to Florida's Key West three times together, and each time we've made a stop at the "southernmost point"!

Fun Fact: The actual southernmost site is several blocks away, but the marker was moved to accommodate the crowds of people wanting a photo at the marker!

Do you have a photo spot that you have returned to on multiple occasions?
