A Baobab Tree Make a Perfect Sunset Silhouette

The curious looking baobab trees are said to sometimes live for as many as 5,000 years. The trees can grow to nearly 100 feet tall and measure over 150 feet around. Baobab trees are sometimes called "upside-down trees" since the leafless branches are thought to look like tree roots. One of several legends says that adventurous baobabs wandered from place to place. To prevent them from moving about, baobabs were flipped over and planted upside down.

Where was your favorite sunset photo taken?

Our last sunset in Tanzania was in Tarangire National Park. Baraka, our Maasai Wanderings safari guide, found a perfect baobab tree for shooting some sunset photos.

We still had one more morning game drive in Tanzania before jetting off to Zimbabwe, the next stop on our four country African adventure. Now is a perfect time to make sure that you are following us so you don't miss out!
