Oide Wiesn (Old Oktoberfest) only dates back to 2010, the 200th anniversary of Oktoberfest. It was during that year's festival that a special nostalgic area was introduced as a one-time celebration recognizing the early years of Oktoberfest. It turned out to be so popular with festival goers that Oide Weisn became permanent. (It's also the one area where an admission fee of 4 euros per person per day is charged for all entries before 9:00 PM.)

We lucked out with one of the Whip Crackers performing on the table next to ours in the Oide Wiesn (Old Oktoberfest) tent where we spent part of our afternoon.
