Less than a 1 1/2 hour drive from the Cancun airport lies a resort within a resort. The Bahia Principe complex is home to four resorts along the Riviera Maya. If a little luxury plus some rest and relaxation (with adult beverages and all of the food that you can eat) sounds good, then Bahia Principe Luxury Akumal may be your place. This beach side palapa has awesome views and is just steps away from snorkeling and a great beach bar.

How long could you enjoy a beach resort?

We are on our longest stay at an all-inclusive resort - 11 nights. This is the third resort in the Bahia Principe chain that we'll be exploring. The drive from the Cancun airport was a little longer than we would have liked, but arriving at the Bahia Principe Luxury Akumal made the drive worthwhile.
