The maiden voyage of the Celebrity Ascent, the fourth in the cruise line's Edge Class series (which includes Edge, Apex, Beyond and the newest ship, Xcel), was in December 2023. The ship is said to have more than 30 drink & dining venues including Eden and the Magic Carpet. The Magic Carpet, both a bar and restaurant, moves up and down off the side of the ship. Eden transforms from a casual cafe during breakfast and lunch to a more formal specialty dining restaurant at dinner time.
