Although Rome's Pantheon dates back to at least 25 BC, the structure that is standing today is thought to have been completed about 120 years AD. The original building was destroyed by fire, but today's Pantheon has withstood fire and more. Just like the dome, most of the structure is original. A perfect one-half sphere, the dome is the largest unsupported concrete dome and was the largest dome of any kind in the world until sometime in the mid-1800s.
