The 76 Travel Information Centers found throughout Texas are great places to take a break from being on the road. Traveling south along Interstate 35 from Oklahoma, it's the Gainesville Travel Information Center that greets you near mile marker 502. Most of the Texas Travel Information Centers also have at least one fun photo opportunity!

Anytime we are nearing the end of a road trip through several states, I get excited when we cross the Texas state line. As we start heading home, it always seems it will take forever to actually get there, but a Texas rest area makes it feel closer. (Since the state is soooo big, sometimes it still takes hours to get home - LOL!)
