Botswana's Chobe National Park was the first national park established in the country. The park is a favorite for those hoping to see the "Big Five", but there's more to the park than these species popular among safari-goers. As home to the Chobe River, in addition to aquatic wildlife species, the water also attracts those just in need of a drink! Whether on the shoreline or in the water, it's fun to see various species with their reflections.

We saw far fewer "reflections" during our time in Tanzania's national parks. With the waters of the Chobe River flowing through Chobe National Park, even those animal species that we had seen elsewhere had a different vibe. We spent some time on the shoreline during our first morning game drive and spotted elephants, impalas, baboons, spur-winged geese, white-faced ducks, hippos, African jacanas, yellow-billed storks, spoonbills, openbills and more!
