Admission to the beer tents at Munich's Oktoberfest is free - but, space inside the tents fills up fast (aka early in the day)! With over 30 tents (some of which also have beer gardens) seating anywhere from 1,000 to over 10,000 people in each, it may be hard to believe that it would be hard to find a seat. The combination of reserved tables for larger groups plus those starting their days early ensure that all of the seats fill up - especially in the late afternoons or evenings and on weekends.

Social Media Description
Because we had so many things that we wanted to see and do during our five days in Munich, we only planned one day for Oktoberfest. After exploring the grounds, we spent about half of our time in an Augustiner tent and the other half in an Oide Wiesn tent - a great combination to get a feel for the annual festival.
Once you have travelled, the voyage never ends, but is played out over and over again in the quietest chambers. The mind can never break off from the journey. - Pat Conroy
