One of the best times to go on a road trip around Texas is during bluebonnet season. It's so fun to see the state flower blooming right beside you on highway medians and even in large fields. There's plenty of places to stop and take photos - like this one with a barn surrounded by bluebonnets.

Where have you driven to see wildflowers this spring?
We love seeing the wildflowers in bloom - especially when the flowers are Texas bluebonnets. This was only our second time to drive the Bluebonnet Trails in Ennis, but we will return. It's fun to take some iconic photos with the bluebonnets - barns, boots, cows ... anything with a western look is just perfect.
