Those without a fear of heights will be standing above the cliffs of Cabo Girao with the ability to look down over 1,500 feet to the waters of the Atlantic Ocean. The popular attraction, located on Madeira's southern coast, has become one of the islands most popular - and there's no charge to walk out over the ocean!

While on a guided tour, I heard about this overlook that has become one of the most popular attractions in Madeira. Rather than joining another tour during our most recent visit, we had a rental car and were able to make the stop at Cabo Girao Skywalk during our one day of exploring the island.
